Arcane

What we cannot name

Some things feel familiar before we understand them. A presence in an empty room, a word heard in a dream, the feeling that we have already visited a place we are seeing for the first time. We call them coincidences so we can get on with our day. Yet something within us keeps listening.

Arcane begins there: on the edge between what we can explain and what keeps drawing us in without offering an answer. Its mystery is not a puzzle to solve. It is a forgotten language, a syllable of which occasionally finds its way back to us. Following it means accepting that we may lose our way for a while, letting curiosity choose the next step.

Perhaps no revelation awaits us at the end. Perhaps the secret is learning to stand before a half-open door without rushing to push it wide. To sense that something exists on the other side, and that somehow it concerns us.

Insomnia

When the world stops answering

By day, we usually know who to be. We answer, decide, postpone. Then night arrives, and the small things we left at the edges return to claim their space. A conversation cut short years ago. A possibility we turned away from. A question that seemed simple until we were alone.

Insomnia belongs to these visits. The hours pass, but inside us everything circles back to the same place: the bed becomes a station for journeys nobody sees. We live different versions of our lives, revise the past, rehearse answers for a tomorrow that does not yet exist. The harder we search for silence, the more thought finds a voice.

Sometimes dawn brings no solution. It brings a new distance. The same question, seen in the first light, weighs a little less. We have not slept, but we have passed through something. For a moment, the world seems to begin again alongside us.

Seraphic Fate — Helldive

The grace of choosing the fall

He had always believed his destiny was to rise. To become better, purer, to move beyond anything that could hurt him. Every achievement had taken him higher, until the voices below could no longer be told apart. One day he realised that peace had begun to feel too much like absence.

Seraphic Fate — Helldive imagines the moment when a being made for the heavens chooses to descend. He is not cast out: he turns, looks at the imperfect world beneath him, and decides to join it. He knows he will lose something. Innocence, perhaps. The certainty of being on the right side. But he wants to know the weight of choices, the fragility of a bond, the kind of courage that exists only when failure is possible.

The leap lasts an eternity. As he falls, no promise remains to protect him, only the decision he has made. Yet it is precisely there that destiny ceases to be written by someone else. For the first time, it belongs to him.

Black Ash

The shape fire leaves behind

After a fire, the first thing you notice is the silence. Not emptiness: the silence of objects that once held a story and can no longer tell it. Traces remain, outlines, something that crumbles as soon as you touch it. Instinctively, you search for what can be saved, as though finding a fragment might put everything back where it belongs.

Black Ash inhabits the moment when we understand that things will not return to the way they were. Some losses teach us nothing at first; some changes refuse to make sense. The ash is black because it still holds the memory of fire. We carry it with us even when we think we have washed our hands clean.

Then, without a grand turning point, we begin again. An ordinary gesture, an open window, an unexpected desire to go outside. The past remains in the substance of who we will become. We need not erase it in order to build: even scorched earth can become a place where something takes root.

Fallen Memories

Memories change as we keep them

We think of memories as things we have placed somewhere safe. A room, a voice, the way someone used to say our name. But whenever we return, a detail has changed. Something is missing; something has grown brighter. We no longer know whether we are remembering that day or the last time we told its story.

Fallen Memories is for what slips away without a sound. Not only the people we have lost, but the versions of ourselves we can no longer reach: who we were before we knew, before we left, before we chose. Sometimes we miss a time when we were unhappy, simply because it still held possibilities that now have a name and an ending.

Letting go of a memory does not mean denying it. It means allowing it to stop asking us to return. We can carry its feeling even as its details dissolve. What has fallen remains part of the journey, without having to become the place where we live.

Electro Fuel

Desire flowing again

There are times when we keep functioning without really feeling alive. We do what is needed, make it to evening, start again. Our energy is enough to keep everything moving, but not enough to change direction. Then something tiny happens: an idea, an encounter, a sudden urge to try. A reserve we thought was exhausted begins to answer.

Electro Fuel gives that impulse a name. The fuel is desire flowing again, the moment we stop waiting for perfect conditions and put our hands to something. Even if we get it wrong. Especially then. Strength comes from contact, from the friction between what we imagine and what we manage to make.

We do not yet know where it will lead. For once, though, the question does not hold us still. There is an almost childlike pleasure in feeling that we can begin. Before it becomes a result, before it becomes a story to tell, all of this is simply life asking for room.

Élan arctique

The impulse towards somewhere unknown

North can be an inward direction. We go there when we need to leave the noise behind, to hear thoughts that ordinary life keeps covering with other thoughts. We imagine that the cold might make everything clearer. That a spare landscape might help us understand what is worth carrying.

Élan arctique grows from this tension: the stillness of a remote place and the impulse of someone who wants to cross it. There is something tender about leaving before you feel ready. About trusting a direction before you have a destination. The journey exposes us, takes away our habits, but gives us back our attention: we discover how much a day can hold when we stop taking all its parts for granted.

Perhaps the journey will not make us different. Perhaps it will let us recognise something that was already ours, something that had stayed quiet long enough. A small, persistent warmth. Enough to move us through the first step, and then the next.

Climbing stars

A distance worth travelling

As children, the stars seem close enough to reach, if only we can find the right place to jump from. As we grow up, we learn about distance, limits, all the reasons a desire should be made smaller. We become good at recognising what is possible. Sometimes so good that we stop asking what we want.

Climbing stars keeps that first trust alive, but brings it into a life that knows effort. Climbing means trying, stopping, losing ground, discovering that one path does not work and looking for another. The stars give our gaze a direction. They remind us that something can still call us beyond the familiar scale of our days.

Not every wish comes true. Yet some wishes change us during the time we spend following them. When we turn around, we discover a distance that was not there before: people met, fears crossed, things learned. The star is still far away. We have made it this far.

BEHIND THE FREQUENCIES

Gianluca
Rossini.

Keyboardist · Composer · Music producer

Gianluca Rossini at the piano in warm window light

Music is my way of giving shape to worlds that do not yet exist.

I am a keyboardist and music producer. My work moves between jazz and niche electronic styles, with explorations into progressive rock and fusion. This portfolio brings together the electronic and experimental side of my musical journey.

Music, video games and role-playing have always shaped my imagination. The melodies of JRPGs, especially the Final Fantasy series, showed me how deeply sound can bring a world to life. The energy of EDM and trance opened another path: rhythms in motion, luminous textures and the desire to keep exploring.

With Laughing Dragons, I bring that imagination to a virtual band as Jean, the pianist: jazz, bossa nova and electronic music become stories inspired by Dungeons & Dragons. Here, that same narrative impulse enters a more abstract space, shaped by memory, colour and frequencies.
